Recipe Name: BANANA POORI

Ingredients:
1. 2 Banana preferably over ripened one 2. 1 or 2 table spoon sugar 3. ¼ cup Curd 4. Wheat flour (Im using wheat flour for healthier choice or can use maida too ) 5. 1 tea spoon jeera 6. Salt for taste 7. Pinch of baking soda 8. Oil for deep frying the poori
Procedure:
• In a large mixing bowl take 2 ripened banana, if over ripened banana (black) it is much prepared. • Mash banana smooth • Add 1 or 2 tbsp sugar depending on the sweetness of banana. • Add 1 tsp cumin, pinch of baking soda, ¼ cup curd and ½ tsp salt. • Mix all the ingredients well. • Make a dough by adding 2 cup wheat flour. • Knead for 5 minutes until dough turns smooth. • Grease the dough with a tsp of oil. • Cover the dough and rest in warm place for 4 hours. • Knead the dough slightly and pinch a ball sized dough. • Take some wheat flour to dust and roll slightly thick than normal poori. • Deep fry the poori in hot oil. • Further fry the poori on both sides keeping flame on medium. • Fry till banana poori turns dark golden brown in colour both sides. • Serve the banana poori with Veg Kurma,Chutney or saagu. As shown in the picture you can fry the poori golden brown or dark brown based on the preference.
