Ingredients:
Ingredients For the outer dough Rice flour 1 cup, water 1 cup, salt, ghee 1tsp. For the filling Moong shall 1 cup, salt, lime juice 1tsp, g.chilii 2, grated coconut 1 tsp, mustard, hing ,little oil For the masala Oil 2tsp, mustard, Hing, tamarind juice 3tsp, haldi, jaggery 1/2 tsp , idly podi 3tsp, curry leaf
Procedure:
Masala
Cook the dhall into soft grains and strain the water.
Head oil in a kadai, season with mustard, hing, chilli and then add dhall without water. Add salt, coconut and lime juice . Remove from fire and let it cool.
Outer dough
Boil the water with salt and ghee in a heavy kadai. While boiling add the rice flour and close the kadai. After 7 minutes switch off the fire and when little hot mix into a soft dough .
Make small balls and stuff them with the filling dhall and make into nice balls.
Steam cook the balls for 10 minutes.
Let them cool before final seasoning.
Now add little oil a flat kadai, season with mustard, hing, haldi, tamarind juice, jaggery and cook nicely till the raw smell goes.
Now add the steamed balls and gently mix with the masala with breaking.
Now add idly podi and little salt if required.
Garnish with curry leaf and serve the kozhimuttais.
