Recipe Name: Sweet neer unta & Uppu neer unta

Ingredients:
• Par-boiled Rice - 1 Cup • Desiccated Coconut - 1 Cup • Jaggery - 2 Cups • Water - 3 Cups • Salt - 1/2 TSP
Procedure:
• Take a bowl,add one cup of Par - Boiled rice with enough water and let it soak for 3 hours
• After 3 hours, take the soaked rice and add 1 cup of dessicated coconut and grind them till it comes to consistency of rava.
• Take a pan, add this grinded content into it and stir until the mixture becomes tight.
• Rest it for 5 minutes,take small portion and make small round balls. Stuff the balls with small piece of jaggery into it.
• Take a pan,add 3 cups of water and boil these balls. Once boiled, keep the balls aside.
• Repeat the same boiled water into a sugar syrup. Prepare sugar syrup by adding 2 cups of jaggery into the boiled water and stir,let it dissolve completely.
• Add the boiled balls into the sugar syrup in a medium low flame for about 5 minutes.
• Sweet Neer Unta is ready to serve.
Uppu Neer Unta
• Preparation of Uppu Neer Unta is also same as sweet one with slight modifications.
• Balls should not be stuffed with jaggery,make a plain unstuffed ball.
• Instead of sugar syrup,add 1/2 TSP of salt into the boiled water. Repeat the same procedure as above.
• Uppu Neer Unta is ready to serve.
