Recipe Name: Thalimpu Rotti

Ingredients:
Broken raw rice, moong dhall, half grated coconut, mustard, Channa dhall, urid dhall, jeera, red chillies, ginger, curry leaves, sun flower oil, salt and water.
Procedure:
THALIMPU ROTTI is a traditional ANDHRA recipe. Light the stove and keep a vessel on the stove, pour three and a half cups of water. Sim the flame. Take half a cup grated coconut and ginger and grind it in a mixie. Now add this to the boiling water. Keep a kadai in another stove and light it, pour half a cup oil. When oil gets heated, add one spoon each of mustard, Channa dhall, urid dhall, jeera. Then add 5 red chillies and curry leaves. Fry for two minutes. Now add quarter cup moong dhall and fry till the dhall turns light brown. Switch off the stove. Now add this to the boiling water and stir. Then add one cup broken raw rice and stir well. Add salt as required and stir. When this comes to upma consistency cook this in a cooker for two whistles. After cooker releases THALIMPU ROTTI is ready to serve. Serve hot with curd and ginger pickle.
