Recipe Name: Dhibba Rotta

Ingredients:
Raw Rice - 1 cup, White Urad Dal - 1 cup, Ginger - 2 Inch Piece, Green Chillies - 5 Pieces, Cumin Seeds - 1 tspn, Ghee or Oil - For frying Dibba rotta.
Procedure:
*** Dibba Rotta ***
1. Soak raw rice and urad dal together for 1 to 2 hours. Once soaked tranfer them to a mixer and grind it to a fine paste by adding little water.
2. Smash green chillies, ginger and Cumin seeds coarsely and add to the ground batter.
3. Also add few curry leaves cut into pieces and salt. Give it a good mix.
4. Now take a heavy bottom pan and add 2spn ghee and 1spn oil and pour half of the made batter.
5. Place a small bowl or glass of water in the center and close the lid.
6. Let it get cooked for 20 min in low flame. Then check if it starts leaving the sides of the pan. If so then add 1spn of oil in the sides and let it cooked in medium flame for 5 to 10 more min till you get required crispness.
7. If you wish to get it cooked on both side, remove the Dibba rotta from pan and add 1spn oil and flip it. Cook it for 5 more min.
8. Enjoy this traditional Dibba rotta for breakfast with Coconut Karam.
*** COCONUT KARAM ***
Grind freshly grated coconut, chilly powder and salt. Finally add onions and give a pulse.
This dish goes very well with Hot Dibba rotta.
