Ingredients:
Idly rice( uppadi biyyam) 2 cups, Raw rice 1 Cup, Urrud dal 1/4 Cup, Fenugreek seeds (menthulu) 1 tsp , Karivepaaku ( curry leaves) 2 cups, Rock salt ( as required)
Procedure:
Soak rice and Urrud dal + Fenugreek seeds separately for four hours. Wash curry leaves neatly and keep it aside. First grind Urrud dal and Karivepaaku smoothly and add rice to it . Grind it like smooth batter . Add salt as per taste. Allow it to ferment . ( Time required 8- 10 hours) Our Karivepaaku dosa batter is ready .
Make hot dosa. Roast it both sides.
U can have plain dosa with coconut chutney.
Or
Spread the chutney on the dosa and put finely chopped onion and tomato over it .
Or
Spread onion kaaram ( mirum) over it.
