Ingredients:
Idly rice or boiled rice-1 cup,coconut-quater portion, Asafoetida-small piece, Red chilli-3 or 4,salt as required, Jaggery-half lemon size,Tamarind-small lemon size,oil-4 tbsp
Procedure:
Soak the rice for 4 to 6 hours.Then coarsely grind all the ingredients except tamarind .Soak the tamarind and make into liquid. Mix it with the batter. Dilute the batter.
Place a non-stick kadai and put the oil. Add mustard seeds,roasted chenna dal-half 1/2 tsp,urad dal-1tsp,1 red chilli, curry leaves. Add the batter and stir well until it turns into a semisolid state. Now simmer the flame and leave it for 5 minutes. Now we will get the roasted part at the bottom. Repeat the process until you want the roasted part. If you don't need the roasted part,put in medium flame until it is cooked well.
