Ingredients:
RiceMix: Rice-1.5 Cup,Toor Dhal-2tbsp,Moong Dhal-2tbsn,Pepper-2tsp,Cumin Seeds-2 tsp,Curd-3tbsn Tempering: Coconut Oil-2Tsp,Mustard-1Tsp,Urad dhal-1tsp,Red Chillies(broken)-2,Curry Leaves-10,Asafoetida-1/2 tsp For Cooking the upma: Coconut Milk-4 cups,water-2Cups,salt to taste
Procedure:
1.Soak items mentioned under ‘rice mix’ in curd and let it soak for 20 mins 2. Once this is done, coarse grind the rice mixture in a mixie and set aside 3. Heat coconut oil in a cooker and temper all ingredients in the same order as given under tempering 4. Once it crackles,Add coconut milk and water and mix well and leave it to boil. 5.Now add the ground rice mix and sauté until it gets cooked. 6. Serve hot with oorpindi for maximum of 3 People breakfast or dinner.
