Recipe Name: TEMPLE DOSA

Ingredients:
Ingredients for temple dosa: Raw rice - 1 cup, Black urad dhal(urad dhal with skin) - 3/4 cup, Crushed pepper - to taste, Dry ginger powder - to taste, Salt - to taste, Ghee. Ingredients for Ulli karam: Big onion, Red chilli, Tamarind, Jaggery, Salt. Tampering: Oil & Mustard seeds.
Procedure:
Preparation of Temple dosa: 1. Wash and soak the raw rice for an hour. Drain the water from the rice completely and spread it on a clean cloth, let the moist dry from the rice. Then add it to the mixie jar and grind it to a coarse powder. 2. Wash the black urad dhal well and add it to the grinder and grind it to a little coarse batter by adding little water when required. 3. Mix the rice powder and urad dhal batter with required salt and leave it for fermentation. 4. While preparing dosa, add crushed pepper, dry ginger powder to the batter and mix well. The batter consistency should be as of Uthaappam batter. 5. Add ghee while making dosa. Preparation of Ulli karam: 1. Cut the onion to cubes. 2. Add red chilli, tamarind, jaggery and salt to a mixie and grind first. Then add the onion to it and grind it coarsely. 3. Tamper with oil & mustard seeds. Benefits: 1. Helps to strengthen the bones. 2. Black whole urad dhal is rich in calcium, has many vitamins and minerals. It improves the metabolism.
