Recipe Name: Pidicha kudumu

Ingredients:
For idly : Puzhungal arisi( 1 cup), thuvaram paruppu(1/2 cup), coconut( 1 cup), red dry chillies(10 no) , salt, hing, pepper, jeera, murunga keerai. For idly podi : oil, mustard, red dry chillies, curry leaves, ulutham paruppu, lemon juice, salt.
Procedure:
1. Soak arisi and paruppu together for 3 hours in water. 2. Add the ingredients mentioned above(for idly) in a grinder, add arisi, paruppu and grind coarsely and add the keerai. Mix it well. 3. Keep the batter in idly plates and steam for 15 minutes. 4. Remove it after 15 mins and we can have idlies as such with garlic chutney. For idly podi : In a kadai add oil, mustard, ulutham paruppu, red chillies, curry leaves, salt, scramble the idlies and add it. Mix it well and add the lemon juice after switching off. We can enjoy the idly podi with onion slices. Garlic chutney : In a mixie add around 20 garlic pods, 15 red chillies, salt, hing. Grind it nicely by adding little water. Temper it by adding nallennai, mustard. Squeeze half lemon after adding the tempered mustard.
