Ingredients:
Moong dal- 1 and 1/2 cup, Idli rice/ pulungal arisi - 1 cup, Green chillies , Asafoetida , Mustard seeds, Curry leaves
Procedure:
Procedure: First Soak pulungal arisi for two hours and moong dal for one hour in water. Grind the moong dal so smooth (like urad dal for idli dosa batter) and transfer to a vessel. Then grind pulungal arisi like rava consistency and transfer to the same vessel. Add green chillies paste , salt and finally temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves. Mix the batter well. Use the traditional pesalu kadiyalu pan .Pour the oil, batter and prepare like regular paniyarams. Tastes good with coconut chutney, miriyam ( onion chutney), tomato chutney, carrot chutney, garlic chutney , podi or onion pickle.
