Recipe Name: Gandhi Pazhagaram

Ingredients:
Raw Rice - 1 cup, Moong Dhal - 1/2 cup, Coconut Grated- 1 cup, Water - 8 cups, Ghee - 4 tbsp, Salt - as required
Procedure:
Wash the rice and moong dhal together thoroughly atleast twice. In a vessel, boil 8 cups of water. At the time of boiling, add salt as required and the washed rice and moong dhal. Keep stirring the contents of the vessel until it thickens. Take a pressure cooker and add some water in the cooker and place the vessel with rice and moong dhal inside the pressure cooker. Wait until 4 whistles. After the pressure releases, take the vessel from the cooker and stir it well without flame. Now grind the grated coconut with some water in a mixie into a fine paste. Add the paste to the pazhagaram in the vessel. Then keep the vessel on low flame and cook for 5 mins. The tasty Gandhi Pazhagaram is ready. Serve the hot Gandhi Pazhagaram with ghee on top. Best combination for this dish is Sambaram (Mango) pickle.
